The Ambai Language Documentation Page
Ambai is a language spoken by the people of Yapen Island and Ambai island (a small island south to Yapen)
in Cenderawasih Bay, Indonesia, by approximately 10,000 people.
During September-December 2007 a linguistic fieldwork course was conducted in
the Leiden University Centre for Linguistics
on the Ambai language. This page brings the results of this fieldwork course, in order to
make them accessible to the linguistic community as a whole.
The site is still under construction. Additional material is planned to be added.
